Aspiring chef turned content creator

Hi there, I’m Theresa! I am a food content creator and recipe developer based in the Washington D.C. area. After working in the restaurant industry for almost 10 years, I got laid off due to COVID (oh, the unprecedented times). I moved half way across the world and back into my hometown. Here I have rediscovered a newfound appreciation for Korean cuisine and dishes I ate growing up.

I spent about 5 of those industry years working in classically trained, fine dining kitchens, using foreign foods, techniques, and fancy gadgets. When I turned to social media, I wanted to share my comfort foods. I’ve come to appreciate the different kind of beauty with everyday meals. Food doesn’t have to be topped with caviar and micro greens to be beautiful. Food can be a simple bowl of rice with chili oil and a perfectly fried egg and still be beautiful.
